Blue Ridge Chair Works, a portable outdoor furniture manufacturer, hired Colin Buxton as a head craftsman who is also tasked with introducing a brand refresh.
After guiding the company for many years, Alan Davis passed the torch to Buxton, a fine furniture maker with over five years of woodworking experience. Before joining Blue Ridge Chair Works, Buxton worked for Shackleton, a Vermont-based custom furniture and hand tools shop. As a lead craftsman, he focused on sustainability, local manufacturing, prioritizing and using locally-sourced wood and eco-friendly production methods. Buxton is exploring new ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency, including repurposing scrap materials to create new products.
