Helinox, the manufacturer of lightweight, portable furniture for outdoor use, recently opened its second multi-story Helinox Creative Center Busan (HCC Busan). Busan is the second largest city in South Korea know for urban design and outdoor escapes.
HCC Busan combines a showroom, store, workspace, and brand experience taking consumers through its “design ethos, craftsmanship, products, and collaborations.”
HCC Busan, on Dalmaji-gil Street, links Haeundae and Songjeong, two famous beaches in Korea known for surfing. The building reflects its location resembling waves and reflecting nature.
“The opening of our new creative center was met with so much support and excitement for the brand. I’m looking forward to seeing the growing synergy between this new meeting of Helinox and the city of Busan, a city full of vitality with abundant festivals throughout the four seasons and the wonderful scenery created by the sea,” said Young Lah, CEO of Helinox.
Presenting the full range of Helinox’s lightweight, portable furniture and accessories, circular stairs flow between four levels, each designed for shoppers to view the ocean, scenery and environment. The second floor features the outdoor line, including Helinox’s Chair One, the original product that created the category of portable outdoor furniture, crafted with Helinox’s aluminum alloy that embodies the lightness and strength of the brand’s outdoor line. An entire wall of screens displays Helinox video content, telling stories of the brand’s history, trips, experiences, and collaborations. The all-black third floor shows the Tactical line, products for various environments and applications, and reflects military-inspired fashion trends. Finally, the fourth floor features a cafe and Helinox’s Home collection, ideal for use in daily life, camping, commercial spaces, and as design accents.
In addition to the product showcase, HCC Busan includes space for cultural activities and relaxation, including a terrace that opens to the sea and exhibition spaces for cultural events and pop-up stores.
To celebrate the opening of HCC Busan, Helinox collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara and Fragment Design to introduce a new limited-edition collection. The opening also featured events for shoppers, including HCC Busan Community Day and Cyan Blue: The One.
