B.A.S.S., which encompasses the Bassmaster tournament leagues, events and media platforms, hired Phillip Johnson as executive vice president of sales and business development. Johnson brings 25 years of experience in sales and operations management, business leadership, client relations, strategic planning, and new growth market identification to the company.

Johnson spent 15 years with Anderson Merchandisers, rising through the ranks as field execution director, senior program manager and divisional director. Most recently, he was a vice president, Walmart account executive, leading the company’s Special Projects Division.

In addition to sales and business development, Johnson will oversee marketing, licensing, events, communications, and membership.
