Academy Sports + Outdoors is opening new stores in Barboursville, WV and Tampa Bay, FL, with grand opening events held from November 18 to November 20.
The Barboursville store, located at 30 Tanyard Station Drive in the Tanyard Station shopping center, has over 60,000 square feet. The Pinellas Park store provides 50,000 square feet at 7230 US Hwy 19 North.
Academy opened nine new stores in 2022.
The Barboursville store is the first retail store in West Virginia for Academy, and Pinellas Park marks its first store in Tampa Bay and 14th in Florida. Academy plans to expand its retail offering beyond 2022, opening 80-to-100 new stores over the next five years.
