David Renton, former COO of Zwift, was hired by Nix Biosensors as interim chief operations officer and chief technology officer. Renton brings more than two decades of leadership in the technology sector to the role.
During his five-plus years working at Zwift, Renton scaled the organization and product by integrating its game, events and hardware. He also helped the company to advance its esports offering, which grew to become a discipline within cycling, leading to the UCI Esports World Championships, the Tour de France Virtual and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
Other recent hires at Nix include:
- Pratik Patel, Nix director of human performance, who was formerly the director of performance nutrition and assistant strength and conditioning coach for the New York Giants;
- Inga Stenta, Nix’s chief marketing officer, who was the and former head of U.S. marketing at Reebok; and
- Tom Fowler, an adviser to Nix and former president of Polar.
