VF Corp. promoted Lance Meller to global brand president, Dickies. The company announced the hire during its recent Investor Day meeting.
Meller has been VP and general manager of Dickies Americas since September 2020. He replaces Denny Bruce, Dickies’ global brand president since July 2019.
Steven Rendle, VF Corp.’s chairman, president and CEO, said Meller is the “co-author of the strategy that’s really accelerated and put this business into a new sphere of momentum.” He added that Bruce “made a very important decision to put his career on hold, maybe step out of his career for a long period of time, to focus on his family. We miss him, but it’s something we deeply support, and we just want to acknowledge the work that he’s done, the partnership that Lance has provided and, most importantly, the succession planning that was taking place within that business. So when this decision came, Lance could pick up that baton and move forward seamlessly and will continue to drive this team and the energy behind this brand.”
