The North Face promoted Jan Van Leeuwen as general manager of the Americas. Van Leeuwen has been the general manager of The North Face EMEA for the past four years.

Before his role as General Manager of The North Face EMEA, he was vice president and general manager for Vans in the EMEA region. He joined VF Corp., the parent of The North Face and Vans, in 2011. Before joining VF, Van Leeuwen held senior leadership roles for companies including Nike, O’Neill and Sole Technology.

Van Leeuwen will begin transitioning to the Americas over the next few months. His replacement for the EMEA region will be announced soon.

He said: “I am extremely proud and thankful to be part of The North Face team in EMEA. The brand has gone from strength-to-strength pre-, during and post-times of extreme disruption. It is inspiring to have witnessed how the entire team has been the driving force behind this. Purpose-led and always showing agility in order to service our consumers through refreshing product stories, engaging brand activation, holistic marketplace and channel management, all executed with precision. I am very excited to start the next part of my journey and to continue to dare to lead the world forward through exploration with The North Face community across the ‘big pond’.”
