Project Bike Tech (PBT), the high school bike education program, named Mike Lowe as director of operations. Lowe has worked been working as a contractor for the company.
“I’m delighted that [Mike] is on board full time with us,” said Project Bike Tech Executive Director Mercedes Ross. “Mike has a wealth of experience in education and leadership and a passion for bikes and helping kids, which is exactly what the director of operations needs.”
Lowes’ primary responsibility includes maintaining relationships with current schools by providing teachers and principals with full-time support. The DO ensures that all curricula are up to date, reflect the latest industry trends and that teachers have the aids to be successful in the classroom. The position also ensures that new school labs are efficient and effective. Other responsibilities include collaboration with all marketing efforts, creating new partnerships, developing new class materials, supporting special requests, training new and current teachers, and supporting Board of Trustee operational reporting requirements.
Lowe will hit the ground running after adding eight new classrooms for the 2021/22 school year—four in new states: Pennsylvania, New Mexico, West Virginia, and Florida. PBT anticipates a similar expansion for 2022/23.
