Bajío, the maker of blue-light filtering, sustainable performance sunglasses, released its new for 2022 frames—the Caballo, Chelem, Cometa, Paila, and Paraiso.

Providing lightweight, bio-based nylon frames that feature proprietary Lapis lens technology, the brand’s six unisex frames include interior sun ledges that block peripheral light, ergo-textured no-slip rubber nose pads, temples, multi-barrel and internal flex hinges in various temple and frame sizes.

The five frame styles, made from plants, also feature thirteen lens options—seven colors made from polycarbonate and six made from glass. Both offer anti-scratch properties and oleophobic coatings.

Consumers can also choose seven custom lens colors designed for specific light conditions and environments. Prescription lenses are also available.

“We’re stoked about the new frames our design crew has created this year. We think of these styles as sort of ‘reverse mullet’—party in the front and business in the back,” said Al Perkinson, founder, Bajío.
