Adventure Medical Kits revamped its Marine series to include seven waterproof medical kits created for boating enthusiasts—from recreational kayakers to large-scale commercial fishing boats—that are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard.

“When designing this series, we wanted to offer the right range of kits and contents to meet the needs of any boater,” said Garrett Cox, head of marketing, Adventure Ready Brands, the New Hampshire-based parent company of Adventure Medical Kits. “Receiving the Coast Guard seal of approval was a pivotal element in the product development process. This credential aligns with our ongoing dedication to quality and performance. We take great pride in providing medical kits that meet the high standards of the United States Coast Guard.”

The waterproof rating of the Marine series is IP67. The three base models have a dry-bag design for lightweight packability on smaller boats that can carry six people or less, while the four larger models come in a shockproof dry-box container suited for larger vessels. The contents vary by model and offer an assortment of supplies, tools and instructions for treating injuries and ailments. The collection includes:

Marine 600, for six or fewer people on an extended trip up to six hours away from professional care. The kit’s waterproof and shockproof case features stainless steel hardware and is sealed to maintain a dust-free and dry environment even if submerged for 30 minutes in up to one meter of water. Contents include wound, burn and blister care, medications, fracture and sprain supplies, and an emergency blanket. A copy of Marine Medicine: A Comprehensive Guide by Eric W. Weiss, MD and Michael Jacobs, MD is included to help boaters identify and treat over 200 injuries and illnesses related to marine medicine.

“The purpose that drives Adventure Medical Kits is to ensure outdoor enthusiasts are prepared so they can focus on enjoying the adventure while maintaining safety,” said Cox. “We’re thrilled to offer these best-in-class Marine kits so boaters of all kinds are equipped with the medical necessities needed for any open water excursion.”
