Walmart, Inc. appointed John Rainey, former head of finance at PayPal, as CFO, effective June 6. He replaces Brett Biggs, who announced his exit from the retailer last year. He held the position since 2015.
Biggs, who has been Walmart’s CFO since 2015, will serve as an adviser until he leaves the company in January 2023.
PayPal said it has appointed senior executive Gabrielle Rabinovitch as interim CFO and launched a formal search for Rainey’s replacement.
Rainey, who is on the board of directors at Nasdaq, served as CFO at United Airlines.
