Fanatics has appointed Jon Wexler, the former Yeezy GM at Adidas, as executive director at Fanatics Collectibles, the company’s trading cards and collectibles division, according to Complex.com.
Wexler was, most recently, VP of Shopify’s creator and influencer program. Before joining Shopify in September 2000, Wexler was at Adidas for almost 20 years and was responsible for guiding Adidas’ partnership with Beyoncé, Kanye West, Pharrell, and other musicians.
At Fanatics, Wexler will focus on “collaborations and partnerships within the culture business” at the recently launched Zerocool trading card brand and work alongside Josh Luber, Fanatics Collectibles’ co-founder and chief vision officer, as well as StockX’s former CEO. Zerocool focuses on pop culture, art and entertainment rather than traditional sports cards.
