The SportsOneSource Group has strengthened its media team and promoted a number of other employees to new positions of responsibility. SportsOneSource has hired Chuck Lee as group publisher, overseeing the business development aspects of the companys media group, including SGB, Outdoor Business and Sporting Goods Dealer, as well as the event business. In a separate move, Lou Dzierzak has been appointed group editorial director, overseeing all editorial content for the companys print magazines, newsletters, web sites and news updates.
“The addition of Chuck Lee to the SportsOneSource team and the elevation of Lou Dzierzak to an expanded role are designed to strengthen our team as we implement the SportsOneSource 2.0 strategy,” said James Hartford, president and CEO of The SportsOneSource Group. “At the core of that strategy is the re-launch of all magazines, news updates and web sites, as well as the launch or expansion of key events.”
To further strengthen the team charged with implementing the 2.0 strategy, the company has also promoted key employees to new management positions. Andrew Kerrigan has been promoted to product development manager, overseeing the development and implementation of all SportsOneSource media and research products. Jill Underwood has been promoted to relationship marketing manager, responsible for all client services, audience development and retail partnership relationship management. Teresa Hartford has been appointed creative director, responsible for planning and oversight of the re-design of all company brand imagery, including all company magazines, web sites and logos.
Chuck Lee comes to SportsOneSource from Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, where he spent six years as publisher of the regional consumer outdoor publication serving the outdoor specialty market. Prior, Chuck was with technology media company CNET, where he served in a number of capacities in sales before moving to
Lou Dzierzak has been managing editor of Outdoor Business magazine since it was acquired by The SportsOneSource Group, and also served as managing editor of Cross Country Skier magazine. Andrew Kerrigan was previously production manager for the companys print publications and served as an editor and analyst. Mr. Kerrigan has been with SportsOneSource since 2005.
