Asics Corp. announced that its investment subsidiary, Asics Ventures Corporation, has invested in RUN.EDGE.
Edge Limited (RUN.EDGE), is a provider of real-time sports video analysis applications, including FL-UX, Pitchbase, and Taguru, carved out of Fujitsu, Ltd. in June 2018.
The baseball high-speed video search and analysis application, Pitchbase, has been introduced “by more than 14 professional baseball teams in Japan and U.S., including amateur baseball. FL-UX, an application for field sports, including soccer, basketball and rugby, has been introduced “by more than 80 top professional and amateur clubs in Japan and overseas.” Taguru, which uses video technology cultivated in professional sports for online education, has been introduced at universities and private tutoring schools to promote a new educational style.
Asics said, “Through the partnership with RUN.
