Mountain High Knitwear, based in Tucson, AZ, has acquired the sock license for K-Swiss. The new high-tech performance line targeted for serious athletes in tennis, running and cross-training rolls out Spring ’09.


According to a statement, Mountain High Knitwear’s K-Swiss collection will offer three distinct lines: Lifestyle, “UltraCel Sport” and “UltraCel Perform.” UltraCel Sport incorporates moisture management, cooling mesh panels to increase air circulation, a half cushion on the foot bottom that provides a better fit in tighter athletic shoes, and arch compression that prevents the sock from sliding in the shoe helping to reduce blisters. UltraCel Perform uses the anti-microbial mineral Magic Silver that keeps feet smelling fresh, and incorporates ball of foot cushioning, ventilation panel, and articulation stitches.
