Outdoor Research announced it has promoted Liz Wilson to senior vice president, Global Product Creation. Wilson, who has worked for the brand for four years, will lead its product creation team and product development process from concept to consumer, including product and technology innovation, sourcing, materials, design, merchandising, and quality control.

Wilson brings more than 20 years of global expertise in the active and outdoor apparel space to this position.

“Liz has been a valuable member of our product creation team since 2018. Her new role is really an evolution of the responsibilities she has taken on over the last four years,” explained Roger Barton, president, Outdoor Research. “Liz brings passion for products, a deep knowledge of the product development process and strong understanding of what drives consumer brand loyalty to her new position at Outdoor Research.”

Wilson joined Outdoor Research in 2018 from Royal Robbins where she was vice president of product. Prior to that, she worked as the global director of outdoor apparel at The North Face and held several product merchandising roles at Nike.

Wilson has been a board member at the Wilderness Land Trust since 2012 and has given back to the industry through the Camber Executive Mentorship program.
