Mondottica USA announced a multi-year license agreement with Boardriders for the design, production and distribution of Quiksilver prescription frames and prescription sunglasses. The license covers the optical channel in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
Commenting on the new license agreement, Mondottica USA’s Phil Turnage, who maintains a leadership role with the company said: “We are elated to announce the partnership between Mondottica USA and Boardriders with their iconic brand, Quiksilver. We are thrilled to welcome this collection into our diverse portfolio as we further develop the opportunity within the young active market segment backed by a strong notable brand.”
“We are excited to work with the experts at Mondottica who share our vision for innovation and quality,” said David Brooks, Boardriders’ global GM of partnerships and distribution. “Together we will produce brand-right and elevated optical eyewear that serve the needs of our consumer.”
Quiksilver prescription frames and sunglasses will launch in Spring 2022 with 20 men’s optical styles and eight men’s polarized prescription sunglasses.
Established in 2010, Mondottica USA’s eyewear collections include Pepe Jeans, United Colors of Benetton, Bloom Optics, Christian Lacroix, Hackett London, Sandro, and Gizmo Kids.
