Skullcandy, a developer of core audio products, has promoted Jeremy Andrus to the position of president. Formerly the COO of Skullcandy, Andrus’ role of president is effective immediately in the company’s Park City, Utah headquarters.

“I credit the success of Skullcandy to the talented and passionate team behind the brand, and Jeremy has been a critical part of this team,” stated Rick Alden, CEO and founder of Skullcandy. “Jeremy joined Skullcandy when we were about a million in revenue, and has played a huge role in the company’s fantastic growth. As we continue to recruit new management talent into the company, Jeremy is the right guy to bump up to this critical role.”

As President of Skullcandy, Andrus will oversee the sales, operations and financial aspects of the business under Rick Alden, who will continue in his position as CEO. Skullcandy is currently experiencing its fourth year-over-year growth of 300 plus percent. Andrus will also focus on building Skullcandy’s operational team and will continue his role on the international side of the business, overseeing increased geographic expansion beyond the 40 countries in which Skullcandy is already sold.

“Skullcandy has been a wild ride over the last four years; I’ve never had so much fun in my career working with Rick Alden to build this company to where it is today,” said Andrus.

Prior to joining Skullcandy in 2004, Andrus was director of strategic planning and acquisitions for boutique hotel owner/operator Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and managed his own hotel development projects focused on Marriott franchise properties. Andrus received his MBA from Harvard Business School and BS from Brigham Young University. He currently resides with his wife and daughter in Salt Lake City, Utah.
