Headsweats announced the hiring of industry veteran, Jim Heese, as chief executive officer. In this role, Heese will provide strategic development and direction to its sales and marketing teams including factory production, product development and brand positioning. He will be based in its Boulder, CO headquarters.

“Jim is an incredibly talented communicator with a proven track record of success,” said Ines Marchione, head of marketing, Headsweats. “His extensive background in the outdoor and consumer space, along with his values of culture and well-being makes him a natural fit for the Headsweats team. We know Headsweats will continue gaining momentum under his leadership and direction. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Heese joins Headsweats from Exxel Outdoors where he worked as CMO and, most recently, executive vice president where he managed brands including Compass 360, Serta Airbeds, Instabed, X20 and managed relationships with retailers including Walmart, Target and Dick’s Sporting Goods. He is also the founder and President of Pactimo, one of the first custom cycling apparel brands to go fully digital and embrace e-commerce.

“Headsweats is a trusted company in Boulder and the active communities, and I’m excited to further their efforts,” said Heese. “We have a unique opportunity to reinvent a 23-year-old brand, and I am confident Headsweats will inspire athletes of every level to reach their full potential.”
