Schoeller Textil U.S.A., a subsidiary of the Swiss technical fabrics maker, has added two leaders to its executive team in Seattle.
Walton has worked in the outdoor industry as a sales manager, P.R. consultant, a professional ski, river and mountain guide and on the retail floor. She also serves on the board of directors of The Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition.
Schoeller Textil U.S.A. said it had also hired Cricket Griesman as West Coast sales manager. Griesman brings detailed knowledge of fabric development having held that position at Outdoor Research for 10 years. Previously, he worked at The Swallows Nest, a specialty outdoor shop that served as the starting block for many industry notables.
While at Outdoor research, Griesman headed up a dramatic restructuring of the material inventory analysis process. This enabled a streamlining of the in-house production process, resulting in increased productivity and better margins on products built at the Seattle facility.
Griesmans background in both specialty retail and outdoor manufacturing makes him a great resource for outdoor brands, especially those that are making the transition from small startup companies to larger ones with multiple production sources.
“We are very pleased and excited with the addition of Mr. Griesman to our Schoeller team,” said Tom Weinbender, President of Schoeller U.S.A. “Cricket brings a broad knowledge from the retail, product manufacturer and technology sectors. This, in addition to his great communication skills, ensure that he is the perfect fit for his position.” said Tom Weinbender, President of Schoeller U.S.A.
In addition to his fabric expertise and exceptional customer service, Griesman posses a passion for both randonnee ski racing and sea kayaking.
