Danner's boot business with the U.S. Marines is running hot and cold.

The company's parent company LaCross Footwear Inc. said Tuesday that its Danner subsidiary received orders worth $1.3 million to protect Marines' feet from both the heat and the cold. The orders are in addition to $900,000 in the company announced Feb. 7, 2008.
