Club Champion has hired Adam Levy as its new CEO.

Levy’s retail growth expertise comes from working with companies including Tumi, Tommy Hilfiger and Refac Optical Group. He is expected to expand Club Champion’s national footprint. The custom golf club fitter has over 80 locations and an aggressive growth strategy for 2021/22.

Levy takes the reins from Club Champion’s former CEO, Joe Lee, who held the position for 11 years. He will move to Chairman of the Board and continue to be actively involved in the brand’s operations.

“This is an exciting time to dive into Club Champion’s success,” said Levy. “I’m ready to help the brand move toward international expansion and a broader customer reach. The opportunities are endless for a company full of passionate employees and bolstered by even more passionate customers.”

Among other executive moves, Rob Baumaister was appointed chief stores officer. Baumeister’s experience in operational leadership from companies like Floor & Decor will help amplify Club Champion’s existing field management structure and offer the brand a wider opportunity for regional and local advancement.

The custom club fitter’s leadership is also gaining a new General Manager in Scott Pastor, who will be focused on the West Coast. He joins the three existing regional general managers and will more evenly distribute the field responsibilities, giving each store more access to leadership and support.

Additionally, six more team members have joined the company at its headquarters in Chicago, including marketing, customer service and recruiting personnel.

Sherburne said, “We’re taking the calculated risks needed to come out a stronger, ever more dominant player in this space. Our job is all about upgrades — equipment upgrades, score upgrades, confidence upgrades — so we’re applying our trusted methodology to our own brand. Measure, enhance, outperform expectations.”
