Dick’s Sporting Goods plans to close its store at the Fort Gratiot Shopping Center in Port Huron, MI this winter, according to a report in the Port Huron Times Herald.
The 45,000-square-foot facility opened in 2020.
Fort Gratiot Community Development Coordinator Sharon Wilton told the newspaper the Dick’s Sporting Goods building will be available for lease on January 31. She said the leasing company for the location contacted her stating sales have declined due to the lack of Canadian customers. Canada’s border closed on March 18 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
