Altitude Sports, Canada’s online outdoor retailer, appointed Bao Trinh and Ian Booler, as vice president of merchandising and vice president of finance, respectively.
Trinh serves on Altitude Sport’s executive committee and oversees its merchandising strategy and execution. He previously worked at food retailer Sobeys Inc. for eight years where he held progressively senior roles in Fuel supply, distribution and sales. From 2017, his most recent role at Sobeys had been director of demand planning and process optimization where he was accountable for improving promotional sales forecast accuracy and leading initiatives to remove costs from the supply chain through increased collaboration with the supplier community.
“Bao’s arrival marks the new name of his department from buying to merchandising. He will help us advance our demand planning and reporting strategies in order to offer our customers the products they want, when they want them,” said Maxime Dubois, co-CEO of Altitude Sports.
Prior to joining Altitude Sports, Booler was the head of FP&A at Lightspeed POS, a technology company providing the SMB market with cloud-based commerce solutions. Booler has occupied management positions at Canadian retailers Aldo Shoes, Groupe Dynamite and Roots Canada.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Ian to the Altitude Sports team. He will be crucial in guiding our business through a new phase of growth while supporting the success of our Marketplace, Vallier, and the internationalization of our platform,” said Alexandre Guimond, co-CEO of Altitude Sports.
