Pentland Brands Limited has announced the appointment of Jodie Soussan as global brand director for its Canterbury and Mitre brands.
Soussan joined Pentland Brands as its commercial strategy director in 2018. Since then, she has led the teams responsible for commercial strategy and planning, market intelligence and commercial excellence in delivering its go-to-market strategies and plans across the brand’s portfolio.
Prior to Pentland Brands, Soussan worked within the FMCG sector for Procter & Gamble and Jordans Dorset & Ryvita (Associated British Foods). An experienced brand and category strategist, Soussan has also worked across a wide range of commercial, digital, marketing, and insights roles.
In her new role, Soussan is responsible for defining and driving consumer growth opportunities ensuring the brands’ strategies.
“Jodie has a wealth of commercial and brand building experience and she joins a great team. Canterbury and Mitre are respected brands within their categories and Jodie will lead them in creating irresistible products and compelling brand propositions that will deliver sustainable and profitable growth,” said Chirag Patel, CEO, Pentland Brands Limited.
Soussan said, “It’s a really energizing time to be joining the Canterbury and Mitre team. Our collective goal will be to get our products to more consumers by focusing on getting more people from all backgrounds involved in rugby and football especially at the grassroots level.”
Soussan replaces Charlotte Cox, who has been appointed to the Pentland Brands executive team as president EMEA, responsible for the commercial teams across the region. Soussan will report to Penny Herriman, who is joining the Pentland Brands business as chief marketing officer later this year.
