AstroTurf Corporation, the provider of synthetic turf, hired Jim Savoca as VP of sales. Todd DeWolfe was appointed VP of business development & research.
Savoca moves into the role after previously serving as GM for AstroTurf’s U.S. Central Region with nearly 40 years of sales and management experience.
“Jim’s breadth of industry knowledge and the sales process specifically, is unparalleled in our industry,” says Rich Jordan, AstroTurf Corporation Executive Vice President. “We’re thrilled he will be guiding the best sales team in the business and imparting his straight-forward and enthusiastic approach to providing solutions to our customers’ sports surfacing needs.”
DeWolfe will be developing products, strategic initiatives and activities for AstroTurf. A graduate of Central Michigan University’s Recreational Facility Management program, DeWolfe spent time working for businesses that built sports facilities before entering the turf industry in 1998. He was employed by ProGrass as VP of sales and development until the company’s acquisition by the AstroTurf Corporation.
“Todd has earned this opportunity to take a larger role in the development of our products and the advancement of our corporate objectives. His passion for the technical side of synthetic turf is equal to his drive to compete and make our team successful,” said Jordan.
