Kelty and Confluence recently inked a strategic marketing partnership in which the companies will promote each other at events and through marketing initiatives. As part of the relationship, Confluence’s Dagger and Wave Sport whitewater kayak teams will use branded Kelty Carport shelters at events throughout the 2007 season.

“We’re excited to be working with Confluence and its leading paddlesports brands,” said Christian Mason, Kelty’s marketing manager. “This partnership will give Kelty a great opportunity to gain involvement in the paddle sports world while our branded Carports will serve to draw attention to Dagger and Wave Sport. It’s a winning situation for all involved.”

“Kelty is a great partner for us,” said Kelley Woolsey, EVP of Marketing and Sales at Confluence. “Its Carports are the perfect platform for our whitewater teams to quickly make their presence be known at events, and Kelty’s core users are a valuable target audience for our other brands, as canoeing and kayaking is a perfect activity for a camping adventure.”

Along with presenting the versatile Kelty Carport to the watersports community while effectively drawing attention to Dagger and Wave Sport at various paddling events, the companies will showcase each others products in marketing materials and at trade shows, including the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Open Air Demo in Salt Lake City, UT this summer.
