Ken Ross has joined Exxel Outdoors as Vice President of Key Accounts, announced Harry Kazazian, Chairman and CEO of the company.
“I’ve known Ken for over 16 years, and he is the perfect match for Exxel in strategically accelerating our growth plans,” remarked Kazazian. “With his unrivaled buyer-side background, keen insights into the ever-changing retail arena, and great energy and enthusiasm, we are very fortunate to have Ken on our executive team.”
In his new role, Ross will strengthen partnerships with Exxel’s key outdoor retailers and develop new business. He joins Exxel with over 20 years of retail experience including leadership roles at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Most recently, he was Director of Product Management, Hardlines Product Development, where he led a cross-functional team of product development professionals in the creation, development, sourcing, commercialization, and merchandising of many of Dick’s private brands.
“I am really looking forward to joining Exxel, being a leading outdoor gear company with a vast portfolio of high-quality brands,” commented Ross. “I’m optimistic about the future of camping and related outdoor activities in the upcoming year and well-beyond,” he added. “I see people growing closer to their families and friend-groups by spending more quality time together in the outdoors – simply because they can.”
