Crocs, Inc. entered into a licensing agreement with Marvel Entertainment, Inc. to produce Crocs footwear and Jibbitz charms featuring characters ripped from the pages of Marvel's comic books including Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, and The X-Men.
Ron Snyder, CEO of Crocs, stated: “Marvel has created some of the best known Super Heroes and Super Villains of all time, many of which have been introduced to a younger, broader audience through major motion picture releases. We are committed to capitalizing on the growing popularity of our brands and Marvel's iconic characters through the creation of a line of products that will ring true with comic book enthusiasts and movie buffs alike.”
The new line of Jibbitz charms will be available at select U.S. & Canadian retail locations in summer 2007 while the new line of Crocs footwear will debut later in the year.
