Oros, the outerwear start-up based in Portland, OR, has opened a pop-up in Chicago.

The store, at 924 W. Armitage Ave. in Lincoln Park, will be open from late January until the end of March. The company partnered with Leap Services, which helps e-tailers open physical locations, on the store opening. This is Oros’ first location.

Oros’ Co-founder and CEO Michael Markesbery told the Portland Business Journal, “If you look at a geographic map of our sales over the last two years, the second-largest volume city would be Chicago.”

Oros’ jackets and outerwear are known for their Solarcore technology, which uses the same insulation utilized by NASA to insulate space shuttles.
