San Diego Loyal SC announced a multi-year partnership with Adidas ahead of the club’s inaugural season in the USL Championship this spring.
The announcement was made as part of a presentation at the 2020 United Soccer Coaches Convention. The Championship expansion club kicks off its inaugural season on March 7 at Torero Stadium against Las Vegas Lights FC on ESPNews.
In addition to being the official supplier for the gameday uniform, Adidas will outfit the players and coaching staff for training and travel.
“We’re thrilled to wear the three stripes and to connect with the global leader in soccer,” said president of SD Loyal, Warren Smith. “It’s a true honor to have Adidas represent our look and feel in our merchandise and kits, and we look forward to a strong and long partnership.”
“Today marks the beginning of an exciting and strategic partnership for us,” said west sales director for Adidas, Frank Battle. “SD Loyal combines the exceptional experience of Landon Donovan and Warren Smith with a fan-focused and innovative brand. We can’t wait to see the nation’s newest team wearing Adidas on the field.”
