VO Gloves, makers of CZiP gloves, has received $2.5 million in new funding from the Steamboat Springs, Colo. outdoor company Innovative Distribution. The funding will support VOs new product line and increase the companys manufacturing and design capabilities.
“We invested in VO Gloves because of the companys innovation to the glove design,” said Jon Roddy, Chief Sales Officer, Innovative Distribution.
In 2006, the company was invited to join the U.S. Military Glove Sub Committee for review of the VO glove; and product designs were tested by the U.S. Military in Alaska and Afghanistan. VO Gloves received the Riri Sportswear Accessories Award of the 2006 ISPO BrandNew competition.
Martin Baron, Chief Marketing Officer, VO Gloves said, “The new support from Innovative Distribution is exciting for us to expand the capabilities of our current VO glove design as well as the companys future to be on the forefront of new innovative product designs and branding.”
VO Gloves next stage of product development will encompass other outdoor consumers (in addition to snowboarders and skiers), including field and stream and military. The company is also exploring licensing opportunities with other apparel and clothing accessory companies.
