August Equity Trust plc reported in a release that the equity fund had “realised its investment” in the Kangol brand signifying its sale, while reports out of the UK name Mike Ashley, owner of Sports World, as the buyer. Rumors tag the final purchase price at approximately £10 million. In addition to Sports World, Ashley adds the Kangol brand to a portfolio that inlcudes Slazenger and Dunlop.
