Kittery, ME, December 3, 2019 — On the heels of two successful holiday shopping seasons, Good To-Go continues its #DoBetter campaign in 2019, this year, benefitting three Feeding America food banks. From Black Friday (Nov. 29) through the end of the year (Dec. 31), Good To-Go will donate one meal for every two purchased through its website. Customers also have the option of donating 100% of their purchases.
Feeding America’s mission is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks while engaging our country in the fight to end hunger. Not just because it’s the holidays, but also in light of the many natural disasters we’ve seen each year—from wildfires to flooding, many fellow Americans find themselves in a tough situation, needing some assistance.
“From day one, Jen and I wanted a company that gives back,” said Good To-Go co-founder, David Koorits. “Good To-Go is in a unique position as an outdoor company, as well as a food company, and we’re conscious of the importance of both protecting our wildlands as well as addressing the food shortage far too many people here and around the globe face every day. In our third year of #DoBetter, we are happy to partner with three Feeding America food bank members. Their dedication to providing families with nourishing food while combating food waste makes a significant impact on many lives and we’re excited to get involved.”
Through Good To-Go’s #DoBetter campaign over the previous two holiday seasons, over 1600 meals have been donated to folks in need through partnerships with ISER Caribe in Puerto Rico and veteran-led Team Rubicon. This year, customers can choose between three food banks associated with Feeding America: Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Greater Chicago Food Depository, or Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine.
