Auclair Sports Inc., a division of Paris Glove of Canada has signed an agreement with Dean Cummings to produce an exclusive co-branded line of Auclair/H20 gloves and mitts. Dean has constantly worn Auclair gloves and, as a ski champion himself, it is not surprising that Auclair has tapped Cummings as its official endorser. Dean is a former U.S. Freestyle Ski Team member, mogul specialist, a Rocky Mountain Mogul Champion in 1991, a World Extreme Skiing Championships champion in 1995; top-three finishes in all other years competed and top-five finishes in every freeskiing event entered including U.S. Extremes and European Red Bull comps. Dean now owns H2O Heli Guides, based in Valdez, Alaska, that offers heli-accessed backcountry skiing and snowboarding.
“We are honoured that a ski champion like Dean Cummings and his H20 guide team are endorsing our Auclair gloves. The industry is already aware of our personal and corporate passion to support athletes, so its incredible when we see how athletes turn around and support the Auclair brand to this extent.” said Peter Monk, President of Paris Glove of Canada. “Our new agreement with Dean is to develop a premium line of gloves and mitts to support the extreme weather and sport conditions that extreme skiers and snowboarders encounter. This will be developed under the H20/Auclair brand.”
H20 President, Dean Cummings, said, “As many know, my motto is Skiing is Life !, and the Auclair brand has always seemed to be driven by that same saying. This is a partnership that makes sense for me, my company and, most importantly, our customers who share that love to ski and snowboard. I have personally always associated myself with the top manufacturers of ski equipment, companies who share the same appreciation for the sport as I do. We are excited to develop this line of product with Paris Glove and specifically the Auclair brand.”
“We are thrilled to be associated with Dean Cummings and H20 Guides, as this partnership adds strength to the Auclair brand as a leader in the ski and snowboard glove industry,” said Michael Plotnick, Vice President of Marketing and New Business Development, Paris Glove. “We are particularly proud of this arrangement, as we share with Dean the same obsession about the sport of Skiing. We have already begun design and production of the H20 licensed gloves and mitts, which are scheduled for initial distribution for the 2007/2008 winter season.”
