REI Co-op plans to open a store in Gainesville, FL The 23,000 square-foot store will be completed by spring 2020.
The sore is located at Butler Town Center on Archer Road.
“We have so many outdoor experiences here that really draw thousands of people from all over the world to come and experience like La Chua Trail,” said Mary Reichardt, Butler Enterprises Corporate Director of Marketing.
“Really what REI is about is adventuring outdoors and being a good steward of the environment and that’s really synergistic with what we believe here in Alachua County,” Reichardt said.
Currently, the only REI stores in Florida are located in Jacksonville and Winter Park.
