Dick’s Sporting Goods will be expanding its nationwide footprint with the opening of five Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and two Golf Galaxy stores in October.
The opening includes four stand-alone Dick’s locations at Shops at Beacon Lakes, Miami, FL; Brass Mill Commons, Waterbury, CT; Jordan Landing, West Jordan, UT; and 336 Marketplace, Conroe, TX.
A Golf Galaxy location will open at Butterfield Plaza, Downers Grove, IL.
A combined Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy location will open at Best Buy Plaza, Dallas, TX.
Grand-opening festivities will take place from October 11-13 for the Miami, Waterbury and West Jordan stores. For the rest, the dates are October 25-27.
In September, the retailer opened two stores in Kennewick, WA and Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Following the new store openings, Dick’s will have 732 Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and 95 Golf Galaxy stores nationwide in 47 states. The new locations will bring approximately 400 jobs, collectively, to the communities through the hiring of full-time, part-time and temporary associates who will work in the retail locations.
During the Grand Opening weekend celebrations, customers can win prizes, participate in fun activities and meet special guest stars including former pitcher Liván Hernandez in Miami, FL, former defensive end Justin Tuck in Waterbury, CT, forward Royce O’Neale in West Jordan, UT, and Houston running back Lamar Miller in Conroe, TX.
