Skechers has asked the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to dismiss a trademark infringement suit without prejudice. The lawsuit involved one of its styles which Adidas claimed infringes its three-stripe trademark.
In a filing on July 29, Skechers did not disclose any details of a settlement.
According to World Intellectual Propery Review (WIPR), Skechers filed a complaint with the court in February, seeking a declaratory judgment that its Goldie-Peaks shoe does not infringe Adidas’ trademark. According to Skecher’s original filing, Adidas had sent the brand two cease and desist letters, demanding that Skechers cease all manufacturing, distribution, advertisement and sales of the shoe.
