Freemotion, the commercial fitness manufacturer, has appointed Apostolos Seintis as sales director for Europe.
Having spent fifteen years at All Sport S.A, where he was instrumental in the introduction of a nine-brand portfolio to the Greek market, including Cybex and Trotter, Seintis continued his career with a six-year stretch in senior roles at Cybex, followed by a year at Life Fitness. Most recently, he was director of sales for Physiolab, a UK-based, medical company specializing in soft tissue repair products.
Also a decorated student, with degrees in mechanical engineering and sports science, and an MBA in business, Seintis has a strong track record of growing sales throughout Europe and developing relationships while holding distributors accountable. The main focus of his role at Freemotion will be to develop the distributor network in Europe and build strong partnerships with key accounts.
Commenting on his appointment, Seintis said: “The most exciting thing about my role at Freemotion is the potential of the organization. With the excellent people and resources we have around us, Freemotion could become the biggest global player in the fitness industry, and, alongside my colleagues, I’m looking forward to helping it reach the top.
“We want to be known as a company that helps people to build successful, profitable and reputable businesses, not just one that sells products, so a great opportunity exists to have a real impact, and make a true difference, in the European market and wider afield.”
Seintis will report to Chris McGill, who was recently promoted to vice president of global sales, extending a nine-year career at the company which has seen him rise impressively through the ranks.
Speaking on Freemotion’s future plans, McGill said: “We’ve seen double-digit growth at Freemotion over the last three years, well above industry average, which is phenomenal, but we want to be a more prominent brand internationally. We’ve done a great job domestically [in the US] but there’s still work to be done in the international marketplace. For us, it’s about the people, which is why we’re hiring great talent like Apostolos to help us drive more brand recognition, both through our direct and distributor channels.”
As further evidence of Freemotion’s employment push and determination to significantly increase its presence on the world stage, Leopoldo Torres has also been added to the team as sales director for Latin America, following previous roles at BH Fitness, Technogym, Precor, and Bodytech Columbia. Leopoldo will be looking to build on his early success having joined the company in 2018, and Freemotion will continue to benefit from his extensive experience in sales, business strategy, and public relations within the fitness sector.
Now the hunt is on to find Freemotion a sales director for the UK, as the effort to strengthen its European team continues. Applications can be made by visiting: www.freemotionfitness.com
