BibRave, the running industry specialist in grassroots digital marketing, and AfterShokz, known for its open-ear, bone conduction running headphones, recently created and launched Making It: An AfterShokz Podcast Series by BibRave. The series explores the pathways, trials, and tribulations of a variety of athletes as they try to “make it” at the highest levels of their sport.
The podcast series will live on the BibRave Podcast channel, which recently aired its 150th episode. From the final golfer to earn his 2019 PGA tour card to AfterShokz Brand Ambassador Bubba Wallace on what it means to be African-American in the sport of NASCAR, the series will feature stories that motivate and inspire from a wide range of runners and athletes.
“At AfterShokz we know that it can be tough to get out the door for your workout,” said Kim Fasetta, chief marketing officer of AfterShokz. “Life gets in the way, and motivation slips, so we wanted to create stories and content to keep people entertained. With their deep content marketing, digital storytelling, and high-quality podcast production experience, we knew BibRave was the ideal partner.”
Making It: Episode One (available on iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, or Spotify) features the story of Chaz Davis – a high-performing college track athlete who suffered from Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy – a common mitochondrial disorder – that robbed him of his sight. He bounces back to become one of the fastest blind runners in the world and is training to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Marathon trials.
“Once again, AfterShokz is thinking outside of the box and finding creative ways to serve and connect with their customers,” said Tim Murphy, co-founder of BibRave. “We know that runners and cyclists are constantly on the hunt for new and interesting content to consume on their runs and rides, and we think it’s so cool that AfterShokz stepped up to satisfy that need.”
