Beginning with a special preview package on May 30, Yahoo! will provide daily highlights from the Teva Mountain Games, which run from May 31 to June 4. Team coverage by Yahoo! will include daily text dispatches, photos and video features, which will run as part of the Adventure Beat on Yahoo! News.
“Our relationship with Yahoo! will allow Teva Mountain Games fans to access complete coverage of the event and provide a more interactive experience for our audience than traditional media outlets can provide,” said organizer Joel Heath of Mountain Games, LLC. “Yahoo! is clearly on the leading edge of real-time adventure reporting, and were excited to embrace the Internet to provide an innovative approach to event coverage.”
The Yahoo! coverage team includes endurance competitor and journalist Lindsay Yaw, a freelance magazine journalist of Boulder, Colo. Yaw writes for many national sports, fitness and outdoor magazines, and has competed in several endurance races. She will be joined in the field by videographer Didrik Johnck, and photographers John Canning and Christian Kallen of the Richard Bangs Adventures media team.
