Marker Ltd. will move their warehouse from Salt Lake City to an all new distribution center in Reno, Nevada. The move will take place during the month of May, and the new distribution center will be operational by June 1, 2006. Distribution will begin in the fall for Marker Ltd.s entire retail network. The decision to move the warehouse was based on a need for higher efficiency, accuracy and on-time deliveries for all apparel brands (Marker Ltd., Marmot, ExOfficio and Volkl) under K2 Sports Inc.s technical apparel platform. The distribution center in Reno is a state-of-the-art facility, which will offer 250,000 square feet of space and employ 75 people.
“The new state-of-the-art distribution center will offer some of the newest technology to our retailers,” states Daryl Santos, president of Marker Ltd. “The distribution center will be clothing specific and will insure reliable and on-time deliveries to our customers, offering them Marker Ltd. products in an opportune and appropriate manner.”
The Marker Ltd. Corporate Offices will remain in Salt Lake City but will relocate to an adjacent building with no attached warehouse.
