According to Golf Datatech, golf rounds played in the U.S dropped 7.7 percent in December year-over-year while ending up down 4.8 percent for the year.
By region, declines in rounds played were seen in West North Central, down 27.4 percent; South Atlantic 11.1 percent; East North Central, 10.3 percent; Pacific, 7.6 percent; Mountain, 6.0 percent; and South Central 3.5 percent. Gains were seen in the New England region, surging 76.0 percent; and Mid-Atlantic, 18.8 percent.
