Prior to his time at Marriotts Grande Pines, Sheppard spent a brief period at Hawks Landing Golf Club, in Orlando, where he served as Assistant Golf Professional. His previous experience with Marriott also included 3 years as Tournament Coordinator at International Golf Club.
Before joining the Marriott team in 2000, Sheppards experience in the golf industry included 2 years as the Assistant Golf Professional at Capital City Country Club in Tallahassee, Florida, and 4 years working in Golf Course Maintenance at Baseline Golf Course in Ocala, Florida.
