Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation’s only battery, light bulb, and phone repair franchise, has named Scott Williams, former Cabela’s president, as its new chief executive officer effective January 2.
Williams was president of Cabela’s from February 2016 until October 2017 prior to Cabela’s sale to Bass Pro. He joined Cabela’s in 2011, serving as executive vice president, chief marking officer and chief e-commerce officer.
“On behalf of the entire board of directors, we are excited that someone of Scott’s caliber and experience will be leading Batteries Plus Bulbs through its next phase of growth,” said Tom O’Hare, current interim CEO of Batteries Plus Bulbs. “His impressive track record of leadership and his strategic vision, which includes omni-channel strategy and marketing expertise, uniquely qualifies him for this role.”
O’Hare will continue as a board member, advisor and shareholder of the specialty retailer of batteries, light bulbs and services.
