Lululemon was the second highest-ranked retailer in Glassdoor’s “2019 Best Places to Work” survey for U.S. companies. Lululemon was ranked 9.
Lululemon earned a 4.2 rating. The job ratings showed that 86 percent of the current or former workers would recommend Lululemon as a place of employment for a friend and 92 percent approved of the CEO, Calvin McDonald. Work/life balance, healthy associate discount, free workout classes and benefits were called out favorably in reviews.
The only retailer ranking higher was In-N-Out Burger. at 3. Other firms ranking higher than Lululemon were Bain & Company, Zoom Video Communications, Procore Technologies, Boston Consulting Group, LinkedIn, Facebook and Google.
No other firms in the active space made the top-100 list. Last year, Lululemon ranked 6. Other companies in the active space making the top-100 list in 2018 included Nike, ranked 53; REI, 61; and Adidas, 93.
Other retailers making the top-100 this year included Trader Joe’s, 23; H E B, 31; Wegmans Food Markets, 46; Apple, 71; Costco Wholesale, 79; and Discount Tire, 81.
