NBAStore.com had a record-setting December generating sales that increased 26.8 percent over last year. Sales conversion also increased 35 percent over last year. Fifteen out of the 25 best-selling days in the history of the site occurred in December 2005. Since the start of the fourth quarter of 2005, NBAStore.com sales have increased 15.5 percent over the same period last year.

“NBA fans are increasingly clicking to NBAStore.com as a primary destination to find merchandise of their favorite team or player, and we have expanded our offerings to provide the most comprehensive assortment of NBA products on the Internet to meet that demand,” said Sal LaRocca, SVP, global merchandising group.

Major product categories such as tees and fleece more than doubled versus last year, while jersey sales continue to be strong increasing 20 percent. The ball category enjoyed the largest increase compared to 2004 more than tripling in unit sales.
