Tile, a startup that makes an app and devices to help keep track of the location of things, appointed CJ Prober, former COO of GoPro, as the company’s new chief executive officer. Mike Farley, co-founder and the preceding CEO, will continue to serve as a strategic advisor and sit on Tile’s board of directors.
Prober has been an influential member of Tile’s board of directors since February and is well suited to lead the company through its next phase of growth. Prior to joining Tile, Prober served as chief operating officer at GoPro. At GoPro, he was COO from January 2017 to February 2018 and SVP, software and services from June 2014 to December 2016.
He also held several positions at Electronic Arts, including senior vice president of digital publishing and vice president of publishing and product management. Prior to his time in the video game industry, Prober was a consultant with McKinsey & company and served as an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, focused on mergers and acquisitions as well as public offerings.
