European Technical Sock manufacturer Industrias Savidai, S.L. (Lorpen), announced the launch of its new North American company, Lorpen North America Inc.
Since the introduction of the Lorpen brand into the North American market in 2000, Canadian company, Morsport Inc. has been the sole distributor of Lorpen Socks. Although Lorpen North America will continue to operate out of the Morsport offices for the time being, it will now have complete control of distribution and product development in North America.
By the end of first quarter 2006, Lorpen plans to have a new manufacturing facility operating in Puebla Mexico. Puebla has a long history in hosiery and textile manufacturing. Qualified technicians from Spain will be used in the new facility to ensure the high quality standards of ISO-UNE 9001 are maintained.
The new company and manufacturing facility will improve our ability to respond to market conditions, give us better inventory control and in stock positions.” Says Colin Sanders, VP Sales and Marketing, Lorpen North America.
The entire 2006 Lorpen collection will be presented at numerous upcoming trade (SIA, SHOT, NSIA) and buy group shows. Lorpen Sales Representatives will be available to discuss the new range, dealer programs and new company developments.
