ClassPass, the fitness membership subscription service, announced ClassPass Go, an app offering high-energy, guided classes from top trainers set to motivating music.
“Audio workouts are one of the fastest-growing categories in digital fitness given the convenience and flexibility,” said Fritz Lanman, ClassPass CEO. “As we continue to expand our product portfolio to become the destination for all things fitness, audio was a natural progression in giving our members more ways to work out and non-members a reason to try us as we continue to flex our muscle in the digital category.”
With over 500 classes available and more being added each month, ClassPass Go has an extensive library of audio content across a variety of genres including running, cycling, yoga, HIIT, elliptical and more. For a personalized experience, users are able to filter workouts by class duration, experience level and calories burned to align with their individual fitness goals.
“The amazing thing about ClassPass Go is how well it seamlessly fits into the existing ClassPass ecosystem; we’ve been diligent about personalization in everything from filtering by experience level to letting users choose what music playlist they want for their workout,” said Javier Cardenete, senior software engineer of ClassPass Go.
“When building the app, we wanted to create a premium experience that ClassPass users have become accustomed to but that could be experienced in their living room, outdoors or at the gym,” said Dhaval Chadha, senior product manager of ClassPass Go. “I’m also particularly excited that this offering will be free, removing one of the biggest barriers to entry for people looking to develop a fitness routine.”
ClassPass Go trainers are comprised of an impressive roster of top-notch athletes from the most popular gyms and studios in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Paired with DJ-curated playlists across all genres, the premium experience replicates the feeling of a boutique fitness class, but that can be done anywhere, anytime.
“When I think about the ways our product and brand have evolved, it’s incredible to think about how many touch points we provide to help people find time for themselves each day,” said Payal Kadakia, ClassPass founder. “We have always strived to remove the friction to trying new things. ClassPass Go is another way we can inspire people to be active.”
ClassPass Go is available for download at the iOS or Android app stores.
